BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Mountain West Bank will be highlighting Girls on the Run, a non-profit that inspires girls to become more confident, healthy and successful all next week.
The after-school and summer program, Girls on the Run, uses running as a tool to encourage goal setting, developing healthy relationships, solving conflict and other life skills.
"At the end of the season, the girls all complete their goal of achieving a 5K together with their families, with their friends, with their coaches, and it really gives them a sense of accomplishment that they can translate to other difficult experiences in their lives," says Girls on the Run executive director, Toni Ramey.
Mountain West Bank will be raising awareness about the non-profit and asking customers to make a donation.
The 'Girls on the Run' program is for girls between third and eighth grade. More information can be found at the Girls on the Run website and the Mountain West Bank website.
