Mario Testino is a Peruvian fashion and portrait photographer. He has shot fashion for Vogue, Gucci, V, and Vanity Fair. His celebrity subjects have most famously included Diana, Princess of Wales, and her sons.

Mario was born to a middle class family, the son of Maria Teresa Silva and Mario Giovanni Testino. In 1982, he moved permanently to London, U.K.

Mario’s paternal grandfather was Miguel Cayetano Testino Testino (the son of Carlos Testino Marsano and Teresa Testino Fiorenti). Miguel was born in Genova, Liguria, Italy. Carlos was the son of Cayetano Testino and Ana Maria Marsano.

Mario’s paternal grandmother was Barbara Zenovia Guarderas Roa (the daughter of Eloy Guarderas Klinger and Maria Josefa Roa Nizama). Barbara was born in Sullana, Piura, Peru. Eloy was born in Quito, Pichincha, Ecuador. Maria Josefa was born in Sullana, the daughter of Miguel Roa Correa and Sebastiana Nizama Correa.

Mario’s maternal grandfather was Carlos Silva Fernández (the son of Carlos Silva and Francisca Fernández).
